C.K.C. offers a range of guided kayak tours following different routes, of varying distance but accessible to everyone, even those with little experience of kayaking, travelling at sea and nautical camping. Our guide is constantly present (24 hours a day) throughout the trip to ensure the safety of the group even along the wildest stretches of coast. We use flexible routes which are based on the ability and experience of each individual group and the weather conditions, resulting in an original approach to the islands. The kayak trips are carried out mainly in the morning, afternoons are reserved for relaxing on the beach and visiting the surrounding area on land. Lunch mainly consists of a picnic on the beach.

On tours lasting more than one day the group will be able to sleep in tents– hostels - hotels etc.(contact us for more details of the options available ).

Paddling around the volcanoes

A simple but spectacular tour! Suitable for everyone, from novices to experts. This tour has been designed to suit not only those who have no experience of nautical camping – combining adventure and relaxation – but will also appeal to expert kayakers keen on caving and pot-holing and wild rugged landscapes, who would like to discover the secrets of these fascinating islands. We’ll paddle into caves and tunnels carved from the lava of Vulcano, swim in the bubbling warm thermal spa waters that abound in the bays and grottos of this fabulous island, the ascent up the active Great Crater on Vulcano, making this little adventure a really unique experience. A wealth of geological treasures bears witness to the 600,000 years of activity forming these islands. Then there are Aeolian restaurants to revive us after a hard day’s paddling.

Seven volcanic islands, each one different from the others. Vulcano with its fabulous grottos, natural pools and thermal spa waters steaming under rocks and the Main Crater, Lipari with its pumice quarries and sea stacks plus its archaeological museum, the greenery of Salina, sophisticated Panarea and the stupendous bay, Cala Junco and the bubbling fumaroles of the offshore rocks Lisca Bianca and Lisca Nera. And what is there to say when faced with such spectacles as molten lava flowing into the sea on Stromboli and the Bue Marino grotto on Filicudi. And…….. the peace on Alicudi !! Program island of Vulcano
Nautical charts

Arrive at Vulcano:
Arrive in Sicily, trasfer to Milazzo and ferry to the Aeolian Islands, in the evening presentation of the program, accomodation of crew with kayak, dinner with the guides, night on Vulcano.

1° Day Vulcano:
Meeting at 8:30 at our nautical base, visit the town and buy provisions prior to paddling around the island going South. Build camp and have dinner on the beach near Gelso (Vulcano). Easy Level - 4.5 miles.

2° Day Vulcano:
Finish paddling around the island of Vulcano by 16:00, evening on the town, possible visit to the valley of the monsters and end of our services.
Medium level - 7.5 miles.

Program Islands of Vulcano - Stromboli - Lipari
Nautical charts

Arrive at Vulcano (Saturday):
Arrive in Sicily, trasfer to Milazzo and ferry to the Aeolian Islands, in the evening presentation of the program, accomodation of crew with kayak, dinner with the guides, night on Vulcano.

1° Day Vulcano (Sunday):
In the morning visit to the town and last provisioning before starting to paddle around the island going South along the eastern coast. Build camp and dinner on the beach near Gelso (Vulcano). Easy Level - 4.5 miles.

2° Day Vulcano (Monday):
Finish the circumnavigation of Vulcano (West coast), evening on the town, possible visit to the valley of the monsters, dinner and night at Vulcano.
Medium level - 7.5 miles.

3° Day Stromboli (Tuesday):
Ferry transfer to Stromboli (kayak the next day), afternoon free to visit the town, hike up to the crater (4 hour hike, elevation + 900m), dinner and camp at Stromboli.

4° Day Stromboli (Wednesday):
Tour of Stromboli by kayak! Camp and dinner near Punta dell´Olmo (Southeast)! Medium level - 8 miles.

5° Day Stromboli/Lipari (Thursday):
Finish tour of Stromboli, swim and relax on the beach or visit the town, lunch on your own, ferry to Lipari, afternoon in kayak or visit the museum and town of Lipari. Dinner and camp at Lipari. Easy Level – 3/5 miles.

6° Day Lipari/Vulcano (Friday):
In the morning Kayak to the North, swimming and excursion in the Pumice caves of Lipari, in the afternoon transfer to Vulcano, return to the nautical base and end of services. Medium – hard level 5/13 miles.

Period: From April to October.

Duration: 2 days / 1 night (every day of the week)
Meeting time the day of departure at the nautical base: 8:30
Time of return to the nautical base: 16:00

Cost per person: € 140,00 each x 1-12 participants
For each day by kayak after this program € 60,00 per day.
Supplement for departures in August € 30,00
Same program at the same price for tour of LIPARI and SALINA

Duration: 6 days / 5 nights (from Sunday to Friday)
Meeting time the day of departure at the nautical base: 8:30
Time of return to the nautical base: 18:00

Cost per person: € 380,00 each. x 4-12 participants
For each day by kayak after this program: € 60,00 per day.
Supplement for departures in August € 60,00.
Same price for the tour of Salina rather than Lipari in the 5° and 6° days.

Common points for the Aeolian Island programs

The prices include:

Stays where not indicated (To be decided if you choose free open air camping, a camping site or a night in a hotel/ self catering apartment). Entrance fees to archaeological sites, museums and crater ascents, eventual ticket ships internal Islands.
