The Sit on Top Kayak belongs to the innovative versions of open kayaks. Unlike traditional sea kayaks, they have an external seat with free legs, suitable for short excursions to the sea in stable weather conditions. This is a relatively recent concept compared to the ancient origins of paddle boats. The Sit on Top Kayak is above all a guarantee of greater safety as it is unsinkable and self-draining in the event of overturning. For the beginner paddler, a Sit on Top Kayak is also synonymous with greater freedom and fun. Having your legs free allows you to sunbathe all over your body during outings and not just half-length. You can also dive in for a refreshing bath and get back on the Sit on Top Kayak to resume your paddling.
Probably the best liquid refreshment in the world. Or extreme rockpooling. Or an aquatic nature-trail. In a nutshell it is an all-in-one experience that treats the foreshore as an eco-adventure playground. It’s about rock-hopping, shore-scrambling, swell-riding, cave-exploring and, yes, cliff-jumping. But it’s as much about discovering our wildlife and coastline at close-quarters; an intimacy that walkers never experience.
