Stand up paddle or Paddle board or SUP is an ancient sport that comes from Polynesia. The difference with surfing is that SUP does not need a wave to slide forward. It consists of standing on a large surfboard and using a paddle with a single blade. It is ideal for sliding on calm seas, but also for surfing the waves once the technique has been acquired. To enjoy it to the fullest, it is best to take an introductory course or an excursion led by a qualified instructor. At our base in Vulcano you can take part in one of our introductory courses or guided excursions. The island of Vulcano is undoubtedly the best place in the Aeolian Islands to try this new water sport. Come and let's get started!

When are Stand Up Paddle activities available?
Our activities are suitable for a variety of weather conditions all the way from March to December. It doesn't have to be very sunny or hot! We have wetsuits and windstoppers available to keep you warm and comfortable. The activities are great for Spring and Autumn days when you can't lie on the beach.
